Description

Provides a list of standard trade names of Australian-grown timbers, necessary for the orderly identification, marketing and use of the timber and other forest products. Also lists a number of localized names as a possible aid in identifying species where the standard trade name is not yet universal or where old references are consulted. Botanical names are given to assist the accurate identification of species. The Australian States in which the species occurs are listed; where these also occur in Papua New Guinea, this is noted.
